National Day: Taiwan's president rejects China's claims

In his first speech on National Day, Taiwan's President Lai Ching-te rejected Chinese territorial claims and defended Taiwan's sovereignty in unusually clear terms. As expected, China's Foreign Ministry reacted harshly.
