Industrial policy: Jeroen Dijsselbloem pitches Eindhoven as a model for the EU

The former Eurogroup president and current mayor of Eindhoven is calling for European industrial policy to be guided by local excellence clusters. In an interview with Table.Briefings, Dijsselbloem argued that the proposed EU Competitiveness Fund and cohesion funds should in the future be channeled more strategically toward such “economic engines”.
