The fight against disinformation: why the EU cannot win it alone

With the Digital Services Act, the EU is institutionalizing the fight against disinformation – but this approach falls short. A bottom-up approach is needed to counter conspiracy theories and fake news, says Johanna Koch, who used to be active in the conspiracy ideology scene herself.
