Commission wants to speed up securities trading

Financial Market Commissioner Maria Luís Albuquerque wants to make the settlement cycle in European securities trading more efficient. To this end, the Central Securities Depository Regulation is to be amended. Market participants should be able to settle trades on the trading day itself (T+0).
