Anti-Money Laundering Authority: EU Parliament in favor of Italian candidate

Bruna Szego, previously head of unit at the Italian central bank, has excellent prospects of becoming the first head of the EU's new Anti-Money Laundering Authority. The German candidate has lost out. This causes a lack of understanding in the German government and the European Parliament.
