Deforestation-free supply chains: Are smallholders in Congo victims?

The EU regulation on deforestation-free supply chains declares war on large-scale deforestation for the cultivation of certain products. But the strict requirements could block smallholders' access to the European market, as the example from the Democratic Republic of Congo shows.
