Cyprus gains diplomatic weight with humanitarian coup

At first, the Cypriot president was ridiculed, but now even the powerful USA is participating in the humanitarian corridor to Gaza via the island state. Nikos Christodoulides has upgraded his country diplomatically. The most recent example is the announcement of a visit to Lebanon with Ursula von der Leyen at the beginning of May.
