Cement industry: achieving climate goals not possible without rapid expansion of CO2 pipelines

The cement industry is pushing for a rapid expansion of CO2 pipelines. According to a new study, a 4,800-kilometer-long network would cost around 14 billion euros. The industry's electricity consumption would quadruple as a result of CCS (carbon capture and storage).
