Questionable study: Economist expects expensive electricity even with 100 percent renewables

In a new study, German economist Veronika Grimm concludes that despite the falling costs of wind and solar power, real electricity costs will remain at around the 2021 level until 2040. However, this is only true under the assumption that electricity demand remains completely inflexible, which contradicts many other forecasts.
