Oil and gas industry: How profits rise and climate targets are being abandoned

Despite pledges to transition away from fossil fuels, the oil and gas business is booming. Countries like the United States, Norway, Russia and Brazil continue to grant hundreds of new drilling licenses. Companies once again reported high profits in the last quarter.
