China's short-sighted AI regulation

The decision of a Chinese court, stating that AI-generated content is protected by copyright, has caused a stir. The ruling was unique – in most cases and countries, individuals do not hold copyright over content produced by Artificial Intelligence. In the short term, the value of AI increases due to this decision. However, there are long-term disadvantages.
