Taiwan Strait: How Beijing and Taipei react to the German ships

After much uncertainty about how the operation would be carried out, two German warships passed through the Taiwan Strait on Friday – under the watchful eye of the Chinese Navy. Taiwan sees the passage as a sign of international solidarity, while China speaks of a provocation.
