Nuclear power: China's attempt at permanent glass disposal

China has commissioned a plant for the vitrification of nuclear waste. This technology is supposed to help tackle the problem of waste disposal. Beijing calls it a breakthrough. But Western scientists are skeptical and warn of risks.
