European companies still shy away from local innovation

The localization efforts of European companies' research and development in China are still in their infancy. That was the finding of a study by the on-site EU Chamber and Merics, which spoke to local companies. There are several hurdles to the expansion of R D in the People's Republic, even though many could benefit from tax breaks.
