Das „Metaverse“ ist auch in China das Tech-Buzzword der Stunde. Mit Gaming-Giganten wie Tencent und einer hohen 5G-Durchdringung ist die Volksrepublik für die Errichtung einer virtuellen Parallelwelt eigentlich bestens gerüstet. Die Regierung bleibt jedoch skeptisch und setzt auch im Metaversum auf Entkoppelung.
