'We have a very turbulent decade ahead of us'
The IPCC has advanced climate action around the world, says meteorologist Daniela Jacob. But politics is not doing enough. In Germany, too, there is a tendency towards grandfathering in parts of the government, the former IPCC lead author criticizes. She expects a turbulent decade marked by conflicts between ambitious climate activists and those "who do not want any interference". She advises the IPCC to put more focus on solutions.
