Now the 63-year-old controversial presenter has announced he will run as a candidate in France's presidential elections in April. He made his decision to save the country, he said in a video message released on Tuesday.

Last night, the European Parliament, the Council, and the Commission reached a common position at the trilogue on the Data Governance Act. In doing so, they laid the foundation for a European data economy. The main objective of the Act is to facilitate the use of third-party data. The agreement clearly shows that the DGA does not create parallel legislation to the General Data Protection Regulation.

Nun hat der 63jährige umstrittene Moderator angekündigt, im April bei den Präsidentschaftswahlen in Frankreich als Kandidat anzutreten. Er habe sich dazu entschieden, um das Land zu retten, sagte er in einer am Dienstag veröffentlichten Videobotschaft.
