Ukraine: How the EU is reacting to Trump and Putin.

German Chancellor Scholz and French President Macron assured Ukraine of their support following Trump's phone call with Putin. The announced suspension of attacks on energy infrastructure was a first step. However, the goal must be negotiations on a permanent ceasefire – with the participation of Ukraine.

Budget discharge for 2023: Resolution fails after scandal.

For the first time in the history of the European Parliament, the resolution on the discharge of the 2023 budget failed in committee. The resolution will now also not be presented to the plenary. This means that the EU institutions will not receive the demands and instructions to remedy the situation that the political groups had previously agreed on.
