EDPS: Ambassadors agree on Wiewiórowski

Parliament and the Council must appoint a new European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) for the next five years. There are four candidates. The Council's favorite is the Polish incumbent Wojciech Wiewiórowski.

Trade agreement: EU and Mexico conclude negotiations

The EU and Mexico have concluded negotiations for a renewal of the global agreement. An amendment to the energy chapter had delayed the conclusion for years. The Commission pushed through lower agricultural import quotas and protection against Chinese EVs.
